Abstract

Cloud computing has revolutionized the way organizations operate, offering numerous benefits such as scalability, flexibility, and cost savings. However, the factors influencing the adoption of cloud computing on organizational performance remains poorly understood. This study aims to evaluation the factors influencing of the implementation of cloud computing adoption for organizational performance, focusing on organizational, technological, and environmental factors. The specific objectives include examining the effect of organizational factors, technological factors, and environmental factors on cloud computing adoption and organizational performance. Three research questions were formulated to guide the study, addressing the extent to which each category of factors influences organizational performance and to test the relationships between these factors and organizational performance. The research design employed is a quantitative approach, utilizing a total enumeration sampling technique to survey 102 skilled employees of Mira Technology Limited Lagos. A well-structured questionnaire, with reliability was established using the pilot test method, resulting in a Cronbach alpha coefficient of 0.81. The questionnaire focuses on gathering respondents' perceptions regarding organizational, technological, and environmental factors influencing cloud computing adoption and organizational performance. Data analysis was conducted using mean and standard deviation to analyze the research questions and examine the extent to which each factor affects organizational performance. The findings revealed high extents of influence for organizational, technological, and environmental factors on cloud computing adoption and organizational performance. Recommendations include prioritizing organizational culture, leadership support, employee training, resource allocation, and communication channels to facilitate successful cloud computing adoption. Additionally, suggestions are made for selecting scalable, reliable, and innovative cloud solutions, leveraging government support, considering geographical and environmental factors, and promoting social responsibility initiatives. By implementing these recommendations, organizations can effectively harness the transformative potential of cloud computing to enhance performance, drive innovation, and achieve sustainable growth in today's digital landscape.
